Hope

Wanting to
hold the reins,
knowing that
not a thing is
under my hold!

Wishing to
turn the time
backwards,
knowing that
not a hand
goes anticlockwise!

Wishing the
mind to stop thinking
knowing that
it will happen
only when the
heart stops its beating!

The sun can
rise and set
as and when
it wishes!
Not a gift
for me
I know, but

for hope is
